Last Thursday, the Gemmedia team was fortunate enough to attend the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards, held at MK Dons Stadium.
This prestigious event recognises and celebrates the many fantastic and innovative businesses which help to make Milton Keynes the flourishing business community that it has become over the years. This year, the night was made even more special by the fact that Milton Keynes is celebrating its 50th anniversary – a proud event for every local business and individual within MK.
Gemmedia Director, Gemma Burnikell, was nominated for the Young Business Person of the year Award, the newest category within which Gemma was one of only six fantastic contenders. As a small independent company working to help promote other independent businesses within MK, Gemma felt extremely grateful to have been recognised for the time, effort and passion that she devotes to building both Gemmedia Marketing and GM Events.
Each business and individual that attended the night contributes in some way to MK’s diverse and rapidly expanding business community and it was amazing to see the scope of skill, talent and passion that MK business owners have. The evening was a huge success for all involved, and we were able to meet some extremely inspiring individuals who shared our passion and drive for business within Milton Keynes.
The night saw a number of extremely worthy winners and we were very happy to see the award for Young Business person of the Year go to Ben Turner at Simply Race. Ben is an ambitious and inspiring entrepreneur whose trophy was well deserved.
Gemma feels extremely honoured to have been nominated amongst such an inspiring group of business owners. It is an extremely overwhelming achievement for the team at Gemmedia and Gemma feels more determined than ever to continue her hard work and further expand the business. We are looking forward to celebrating with our fellow Milton Keynes business owners at next year’s event!
